Orange Grove Elementary School serves 485 students, fourth to sixth grade, through 37 dedicated faculty members. It offers its students a state of the art learning environment with Internet access in all classrooms so all students can become part of the global society. Most classrooms have four computers for students to use during the school day. Students have access to a fully automated library and media center as well. A variety of educational programs such as after-school tutoring, Enrichment courses, and online curricula provide students with a wealth of opportunity to excel and achieve. Each teacher can better meet student needs as well with data warehousing resources developed by district personnel. These resources allow teachers to profile the past performance of a student and better meet the specific needs of the individual student.

Annual Title 1 Meeting

During this time of distance learning, CHARACTER COUNTS! is providing free online character development resources for parents and educators that are age specific for elementary, middle school, and high school. We have been receiving great responses to the resources from educators and parents across the country. We have heard from education leaders in Texas, Kansas, and New York that they are some of the finest character based on-line resources they have seen.

Family Guides are available for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Family Guides are a great resource to share with families who are in need of learning activities to do with their students while at home:

CHARACTER COUNTS! resources were vetted by a curriculum committee at the Iowa Department of Education and have been included in their online resource page for educators and parents:

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has provided family resources for parents to use to supplement your child's education.  Please click here find out more.
